Biography

Professor Tsung-Lin Yang is Professor and Chief of Head and Neck Surgery at the National Taiwan University Hospital, Professor at Graduate Institute of Clinical Medicine of National Taiwan University and Deputy Director of Centre of Industry-Academia Cooperation.  With a diverse educational background including MD, PhD, and EMBA from the National Taiwan University, Professor Yang specializes in robotic surgery, ultrasound, and thyroid ablation. He also holds key leadership positions as Secretary-General in the Asia-Pacific Society of Thyroid Surgery (APTS) and Standing Director of the Taiwan Head and Neck Society (THNS). 


In addition to being one of the world's top 2% scientists for consecutive years, Professor Yang has been recognized with numerous prestigious awards for his outstanding research contributions, including Outstanding Research Award at the Ministry of Science and Technology, Young Investigator Award of the Academia Sinica, Dr. Wu Da-You Research Award of Ministry of Science and Technology, Memorial Medical Award of Dean Chen-Yuan Lee, National Innovation Award from the Institute for Biotechnology and Medicine Industry of Ministry of the Interior as well as Outstanding Research Award for Excellence in Innovation of Medical Technology of the National Taiwan University Hospital, Taiwan.  

Professor Yang’s groundbreaking work includes performing the first trans-hairline robotic neck surgery in the world. His dedication to innovation and excellence in medical technology has earned him a reputation as a leading figure in the field of head and neck surgery.
